Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Sleep Lab Technologist to join our Plano, TX sleep lab. This PRN position requires evening hours (6:00pm–6:00am) with weekend availability and a focus on patient safety and data accuracy.

You will perform patient setup, explain procedures, and monitor sleep studies using polysomnography equipment in a hospital setting. A polygraphist certification and BCLS are required prior to independent care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a polysomnography program of at least one year or equivalent experience is preferred.
• RPSGT certification and BCLS are required prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing sleep testing and operate monitoring equipment.
• Review patient history, allergies, medications, and questionnaires.
• Explain sleep study procedures before, during and after testing.
• Set up patients by attaching electrodes and monitoring equipment.
• Follow protocols for various sleep studies and monitor data quality.
