Job summary

Texas Health Resources seeks a Sleep Lab Technologist to support the Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery in Plano, TX. The role involves patient setup, data collection, and monitoring during sleep studies, with emphasis on safety and accurate data capture.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and a polysomnography program of at least one year, plus RPSGT certification upon hire and BCLS prior to independent care.

Qualifications

• RPSGT certification required upon hire.
• BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Care and safety of patients undergoing testing and use of equipment.
• Review patient medical history, allergies, medications, and questionnaires.
• Explain procedures to patient before/during/after sleep study.
• Perform patient setup: attaches electrodes and monitors.
• Follow protocols (MSLT, MWT, parasomnia studies, PAP, oxygen titration).
• Monitor patient via video for unusual sleep behaviors.
• Ensure data is recorded and signals are artifact-free.
