Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Polysomnographic Tech to perform comprehensive sleep testing and analysis under the direction of the Technical Director. The role includes supervision and training of a Polysomnographic Trainee and ensuring adherence to infection control policies.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, with college degree or polysomnography program preferred, and at least 1 year of trainee experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred or completion of polysomnography program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Polysomnographic Trainee with documented proficiency.
• Experience with Sleep equipment/CPAP equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mask fitting and initiate CPAP/BIPAP during sleep studies.
• Follow protocols for electrode placement, data acquisition, and scoring.
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events per AASM standards.
• Maintain infection control and inventory; support team with training and supervision.
