Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System’s Sleep Disorder Clinic is seeking a qualified PSG Technologist to independently perform polysomnography and related studies, ensuring high-quality recordings and patient-centered care.

The role requires maintaining equipment, selecting montages, and assessing patient status before, during, and after tests while collaborating with the healthcare team. A sleep tech with RPSGT or RRT and BLS is preferred, with at least one year in a sleep center or respiratory therapy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Registered Polysomnograph Technologist (RPSGT) or RRT; if RRT, must be enrolled in or completed A-Step Online Self-Study Modules.
• One-year experience in sleep center or respiratory therapy; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs PSG and related studies independently with high quality.
• Keeps lab equipment in good condition and reports malfunctions.
• Selects appropriate recording montages for cases and ensures high-quality recordings.
• Assesses physical and mental status before, during and after testing; communicates with staff for continuity of care.
• Operates all sleep lab equipment in an optimal manner.
• Attends to patient needs to meet expectations and supports patient-centered care.
• Identifies and completes additional project(s) as assigned by management.
