Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Polysomnographic Technician to join the Sleep Center team. You will gather patient information, explain procedures, and perform sleep studies with PSG channels monitored throughout testing.

The role requires polysomnography training, BRPT eligibility within a year, and basic computer skills. Night shifts are possible and on-site work is required at our Sleep Center.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a nationally recognized accredited Polysomnographer program of no less than one year duration
• Must be enrolled in or have completed training in polysomnography in a CAAHEP/CoARC program with the polysomnography option.
• Registry-eligible upon hire; must become BRPT registered within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze patient information by reviewing physician orders for specific tests.
• Explain pretesting, testing and post testing procedures to patients.
• Perform sleep studies and monitor PSG channels throughout the study.
• Initiate therapeutic interventions (c-pap, bi-pap or oxygen) as needed.
• Transfer sleep studies to server and process billing charges for patient study.
