Job summary

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Medicine in Hershey, PA seeks a Research Project Manager to oversee daily operations in a Sleep-cardiovascular program, including wet lab and clinical human studies.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining safety/compliance, ordering supplies, managing data and reagents, and assisting in grants and publications. A Master's degree and biomedical research experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 1+ years biomedical research experience (or equivalent combination).
• Experience in human research is preferred (HIPAA; CITI; IRB).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations and safety compliance
• Provide staff training and supervision
• Order and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment
• Maintain laboratory notebooks for quality control and analysis
• Participate in human studies including vascular reactivity studies and biopsy procedures
• Assist with grants, publications, abstracts, and presentations
• Collaborate with principal investigator to develop goals for new projects
• Process samples and perform experiments on human tissue and blood
