Job summary

JP Carroll Roofing in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Slate Roofing Technician to install, repair, and restore slate roofing systems. You will diagnose issues, fabricate and install sheet metal components, and ensure safety and craftsmanship on every project.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality slate repairs while matching existing materials and maintaining roof integrity.
• Complete service and repair work in accordance with company standards and best practices.
• Document work performed with notes and photos.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, team members, and leadership throughout each project.
• Safely operate ladders, tools, and equipment in varying weather conditions.
• Pick up and transport materials or supplies as needed.
• Support additional roofing service needs during busy periods.

Job Name: Slate Roofing Technician

Pay: $27-$33 per hour (Based on experience) + Company Vehicle, Fuel Card

Position Summary

As a Slate Roofing Technician, you'll be on the front lines delivering specialized slate roofing installation, repair, and restoration services to our customers. You'll be responsible for diagnosing roofing issues, completing high-quality slate repairs and installations, fabricating and installing sheet metal components, and ensuring every project is completed safely and to the highest craftsmanship standards. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on slate roofing experience who takes pride in precision work, understands traditional roofing systems, and has experience working with both slate and sheet metal.
