Job summary

Transforming Age is seeking a Skyline - Cook (full or part-time) at our Seattle community in Skyline at First Hill. You will prepare assigned stations, follow dietary restrictions, and maintain kitchen safety under the lead cook and sous chef.

We value teamwork, hospitality, and high-quality food for residents. Requires 18+, First Aid may be required, 1–2 years cooking experience preferred, and flexibility for weekends. CPR/First Aid training may be required; background checks may apply.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Current First Aid Training may be required in some states per state/local requirements.
• Prior cook/lead cook experience (1-2 years preferred).
• Ability to prepare high quality food for residents.
• Flexibility with schedule, weekends or additional shifts as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with food and equipment vendors.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prepare therapeutic/modified diets.
• CPR and first aid training may be required per state/local guidelines.
• Background check, drug screen, and fingerprinting may be required in certain locations.

We have an amazing opportunity for a Skyline - Cook (Full or Part Time) to join our team! We have part-time and full-time openings, various shifts. The pay range for this role is $21- $29 per hour DOE

Our Cooks

• Prepare assigned stations for shift.
• Under direction of lead cook/sous chef, prepare individual components of various entrees and food items, adhering to the individual dietary restrictions of residents.
• Maintain kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling in compliance with State, Federal, and DSHS regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed!

• At least 18 years of age.
• Current First Aid Training and Certifications may be required in some states per state/local requirements.
• Prior experience as a cook/lead cook (1-2 years preferred).
• Ability to prepare high quality food for our residents.
• Flexibility with schedule may be required, with the occasional need to work Saturdays/Sundays, and other days/shifts as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with food and equipment venders as needed.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and residents.
• Ability to prepare therapeutic/modified diets.
• CPR and first aid training may be required per state/local guidelines.
• Successful completion of recognized food safety course, as required by state/local guidelines.
• Completion of background check, drug screen, and/or pre-employment tasks such as fingerprint and physical may be required in certain locations state/local requirements.
• Physical Requirements The ability to push/pull/carry up to 30lbs
