Job summary

A community-focused educational organization in Virginia is seeking a reliable Bus Driver to transport children to and from school. The ideal candidate should be passionate about caring for kids, possess a valid driver’s license, and have a clean driving record. Responsibilities include operating the bus safely and communicating effectively with children and parents. Qualifications

• Must have a clean driving record for the last five years.
• First-aid and child/adult CPR certified required.
• At least 23 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Drive bus on all scheduled routes to and from school.
• Communicate with teachers, parents, and children.
• Work a split shift.
• Work a split shift with mid-day free.

What you have:

• Ability to relate positively with young children
• Ability to drive school bus to transport children to and from school
• High school diploma or equivalent; prefer some college coursework related to early childhood education
• Clean driving record for the last five years
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
• Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Ability to commit to a split shift schedule
• Must be first-aid and child/adult CPR certified
• Successful background check and VA licensing standards required
• At least 23 years of age

What you will do:

• Drive bus on all scheduled routes to and from school as well as approved activities
• Always operate within the legal speed limits and in safe fashion without exception
• Communicate with teachers, parents and children to meet the needs of each transported child
• Work a split shift – leaving the middle of your day free!
