Job summary

Lexicon is seeking a Welder for on-site work in Monroe, LA. The Welder will weld according to job orders, with safety sensitivity and strict adherence to QA/QC standards. The role requires reading welding symbols and structural drawings, and the ability to pass standardized tests.

Key duties include preparing pieces per QC approvals, assembling and finishing welds, and maintaining a safe work environment. Overtime may be required and adherence to OSHA is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Two years of welding experience required.
• Must read and understand welding symbols and instructions.
• Must be able to read and understand structural drawings.
• Must pass a tape measure test.
• Must pass an unlimited thickness groove plate test (vertical/overhead) using FCAW/SMAW.
• Must be able to carbon arc gouge the back side of butt joints to sound metal.

Responsibilities

• Receive and understand welding symbols and select proper welding material needed to finish for fitting, painting, and shipping.
• Locate pieces approved by Quality Control for welding. Gather equipment necessary to complete the job.
• Clean welded pieces for next phase of processing.
• Adhere to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
• Work overtime and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Perform non-essential functions as needed.
