Job summary

The Energy Cooperative in Hebron, OH is seeking a Welder for the Hebron Service Center. This non-exempt, highly skilled position sits within the bargaining unit and covers construction and maintenance of the system, with responsibility for working independently and following through on assigned tasks.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least five years of welding experience, plus certification tests per company procedures and recertification requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and a minimum of five years of welding experience.
• Must have successfully passed all welding certification tests per company procedures and maintain recertification.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with good driving record; CDL preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for fabrication of metering and gas facilities.
• Safety training and protective equipment use required; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Install hot tap fittings for commercial and industrial stations.
• Fabricate and weld pipe and fittings in shop and on site.
• Fuse plastic pipe and fittings per procedures, in shop and on site.
• Participate in installation and repair of pipelines as part of a crew.
• Advise management when parts or materials are needed for fabrication and repair.
• May serve as Job Leader when required.
• Maintain tools and equipment and complete related maintenance forms.
