Job summary

Dane Manufacturing in Waunakee, WI is seeking a skilled Welder who takes pride in quality workmanship. You will set up, weld, and finish metal components guided by blueprints and welding symbols to build products meeting our standards.

This hands-on role requires MIG/GMAW and TIG/GTAW proficiency, blueprint literacy, and strong attention to detail. You’ll collaborate with fitters and assemblers to deliver compliant parts on schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years welding experience in fabrication.
• Proficient in MIG/GMAW and TIG/GTAW welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• AWS certification is a plus.
• Completed welding program or apprenticeship preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment, including MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW).
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and welding symbols.
• Fit and weld metal components to build fabricated assemblies.
• Use cutting, grinding, and finishing techniques to prepare and complete parts.
• Inspect welds and finished components to ensure quality requirements.
• Maintain and clean welding equipment and workspace.
• Collaborate with fitters, assemblers, and other team members to complete jobs on time.
• Identify quality issues, material shortages, or equipment concerns.
• Suggest opportunities to improve weld quality, efficiency, and workflow.
