Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience interpreting weld symbols and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read material safety data sheets and follow procedures.
• Ability to use precise measuring tools and lay out parts accurately.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 6S principles appreciated.
• Bilingual English/Spanish helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications to plan welding operations.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly.
• Select tooling and fixtures; plan sequence of steps.
• Interpret weld symbols and ensure weld quality.
• Assemble metal parts or products and prepare surfaces for welding.
• Operate welding equipment and move equipment as needed.
• Check pieces with measuring tools and inspect for defects.
• Complete paperwork per procedure and maintain safety standards.
