Job summary

Lindsay Family of Brands is seeking a skilled welder to perform structural and production welding on precast forms and embedded components. You will read blueprints, fabricate and repair metal forms, and produce high-quality welds supporting safe manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include welding with MIG, cutting, grinding, and inspecting welds to ensure specifications are met. Strong teamwork, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with GMAW/MIG welding in production environments.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and interpret welding symbols.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Weld using MIG (GMAW) and other approved processes safely.
• Perform thermal cutting, grinding, and finishing as needed.
• Fabricate, repair, and modify steel forms and embedded components.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols; interpret production drawings.
• Measure, position, align, and clamp components prior to welding.
• Inspect welds for quality and conformance with specs.
• Maintain welding equipment and keep work area clean.
• Communicate production or quality concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Follow all safety requirements and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Perform structural and production welding on precast concrete forms, embedded steel components, and related assemblies. Read blueprints, fabricate, repair, and assemble metal forms while producing high-quality welds in support of safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal parts using MIG (GMAW) and other approved welding processes in a safe manner.
• Perform thermal cutting, grinding, and finishing operations as required.
• Fabricate, repair, and modify steel forms, embedded components, and production equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and production drawings.
• Measure, position, align, and clamp components prior to welding.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and conformance with specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment and perform routine housekeeping of the work area.
• Communicate production or quality concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Follow all Lindsay Family of Brands and OSHA safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One to three years of welding experience or formal welding training.
• GMAW (MIG) 3G Certification required.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and use measuring tools accurately.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50–60 lbs.
• Manual dexterity to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work throughout the shift.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors with overtime as needed.
• Required PPE including welding helmet, hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
