Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer with CDL holder or climbing experience preferred for the Kinsman, OH region. You will join a team providing utility tree care services and work on active line clearance projects.

The role involves climbing, pruning, and removal operations, operating equipment safely, and collaborating closely with a crew led by a foreperson. Performance-based growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in tree trimming for utility line clearance.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems.
• Prune and remove trees safely for major electric utilities; trim or remove treetops and repair damaged trees.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Identify trees using industry pruning guidelines and perform equipment maintenance.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Work as an active crew member with ground crew and foreperson.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer, CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred, joining our team servicing the Kinsman, OH region.

Job Duties

What You'll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning treetops and repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson

Qualifications

What We're Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver's license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver's License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
