Qualifications

• Experience operating excavators on utility projects.
• Knowledge of trenching, grading, and spoil management.
• Ability to follow blueprints and project instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators to perform trenching, digging, backfilling, and grading activities.
• Follow project plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors.
• Safely maneuver equipment around job sites and existing utilities.
• Maintain slope, benching, and spoil pile placement per OSHA standards.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks.
• Identify underground utilities and avoid hazards; use hand-digging where required.
• Load/unload materials and use proper rigging techniques when moving assets.
• Comply with OSHA and company safety policies and stop-work when necessary.
• Assist with other tasks as directed by Foreman or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and effective communication with crew.
