Description:
Functions in a highly skilled craft capacity under minimalsupervision. Provides basic to intermediate service for mechanicaland electrical devices. Works in general construction andmaintenance, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, generalmaintenance exterior maintenance, and scheduled moves and eventsetup. Pursuant to the State of Texas Executive Order No. GA-48, this position researches, works on, or has access to criticalinfrastructure and requires the ability to maintain the security orintegrity of the University infrastructure. This position requires personnel be routinely reviewed to determine whether or not criminal history or continuous connections for the government orpolitical apparatus of a foreign adversary might prevent theemployee from being able to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure.
MQ: Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuationand simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. asmight normally be acquired through attainment of a high schooldiploma or equivalent (GED). Prefer at least 288 hours of classroomand related study as designated by apprenticeship standards.
Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directlyjob-related experience.
Certification/Licensing: Works towardfulfillment of second year apprenticeship requirements as outlinedin a U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeshipprogram.
Will require a valid Texas Driver License.
