Job summary

Durham Technical Community College is seeking a Coordinator/Instructor of Skilled Trades in the Building, Engineering & Skilled Trades (BEST) Pathway at the OCC extension. The role combines leadership, administration, and instructional support for HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Systems programs.

You will oversee operations, plan schedules, support continuous improvement, and develop courses while aligning with college priorities and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Requires at least two years of relevant work experience.
• Two years of teaching/training experience in industry, secondary, or post-secondary settings.
• Minimum of three years of current continuing education or curriculum program supervision, with ability to supervise full-time staff/faculty.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate curriculum and continuing education components.
• Oversee extended programs at OCC and engage with employers and community partners.
• Develop schedules, coordinate with site directors, and support program development and student success.
• Maintain teaching loads and ensure program alignment with college priorities.
• Represent and promote programs through outreach and collaboration with stakeholders.
