Job summary

Roanoke-Chowan Community College seeks an instructor to deliver classroom and lab instruction for the Plumbing program, coordinating with the Construction Technologies team to enhance curriculum and student outcomes.

You will plan lessons, evaluate progress, prepare syllabi, manage equipment, and mentor students while contributing to program evaluation and college service. A relevant associate degree and NC licensure are required, with experience in vocational teaching preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Plumbing or NC licensure required.
• Experience teaching in a community/technical college preferred.
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and lab instruction for the Plumbing program.
• Plan lessons, develop syllabi, and prepare course materials.
• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper storage of supplies.
• Promote college mission and collaborate with the Construction Technologies Coordinator.
• Submit attendance records, reports, and grades as required.
• Mentor students and contribute to program evaluation and improvement.
• Work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
