Service Minds is hiring a Skilled Trades Dispatcher to keep daily service operations running smoothly and to support customers and technicians in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate service calls, optimize technician schedules, and maintain strong communication with field teams, customers, and branch leadership. This in-office role emphasizes attention to detail and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Previous dispatching experience, preferably in home services (HVAC/plumbing/electrical).
• Experience using dispatching/scheduling software (e.g., ServiceTitan) is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple technicians and changing priorities.

What You'll Do

As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for keeping our daily service operations running efficiently while providing exceptional support to customers and technicians.

Coordinate Daily Service Calls: Schedule, assign, and dispatch service technicians based on availability, location, customer needs, and job priority.

Optimize Technician Schedules: Monitor daily schedules, adjust assignments as needed, and help minimize downtime and unnecessary travel between service calls.

Support Our Field Teams: Maintain clear and consistent communication with technicians throughout the day, providing updates, addressing scheduling challenges, and helping resolve issues.

Deliver Excellent Customer Service: Communicate professionally with customers regarding appointment updates, technician arrival times, scheduling changes, and service-related questions.

Manage Last-Minute Changes: Respond quickly to cancellations, emergency calls, delays, and unexpected scheduling challenges while keeping operations organized.

Maintain Accurate Records: Update dispatch systems with service details, technician availability, job statuses, and other important information.

Partner With Branch Leadership: Work closely with managers, customer service representatives, and field teams to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Keep the Day Moving: Proactively identify scheduling gaps, potential delays, and opportunities to improve technician productivity and the overall customer experience.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who can think quickly, communicate confidently, and stay organized when things get busy.

Previous dispatching experience, preferably in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or another fast-paced home service environment.

Experience using ServiceTitan or similar dispatching and scheduling software is highly preferred.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple technicians, service calls, and changing priorities.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with customers, technicians, and leadership.

Strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to make timely decisions.

Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in high-pressure situations.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing schedules and service information.

Comfortable working with computers, scheduling platforms, and multiple systems throughout the day.

A team-first attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take ownership of daily responsibilities.

Home service dispatching experience is a plus! We especially value candidates who understand the importance of technician productivity, efficient scheduling, and delivering a great customer experience.
