Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dover, Delaware seeks a Machine Repair professional to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, reading blueprints and servicing automated systems. The role requires completing an apprenticeship or having substantial related experience, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

You will work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, using standard shop tools and climbing ladders as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of bona fide apprenticeship or 8 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of machine mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, blueprint reading.
• Experience maintaining and repairing robots and automated equipment; familiarity with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Job description

Rate of Pay and Benefits:

Machine Repair are paid a top hourly base rate of $45.115, plus applicable shift, overtime, and holiday premiums. The starting rate for this position is $44.915 with pay increases to the top rate upon completion of three consecutive months of employment.

Must be able to effectively maneuver about vehicles, equipment, assembly lines or stations, and about facility.

Candidates must have completed a bona fide apprenticeship, or have 8 years of previous experience, or have a combination of previous work experience and training equivalent to a bona fide apprenticeship program in the trade.

Knowledge of machine mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, gauge/fixture movement, blueprint reading, (welding and fabrication) operation of machine tools used to make, modify and/or repair machine components. Experienced in maintaining and repairing (presses-CNC Machines,) robots, and (secondary) automated equipment, and will be knowledgeable in (electrical,) mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines. Electrical controls awareness a plus.
