Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Skilled Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in our Maryland-area dealership. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and conduct thorough inspections while communicating with Parts and Service Advisors to keep customers informed.

The role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and adherence to dealer and factory standards. Ongoing training, OEM certification support, and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of automotive technician experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as assigned per repair order.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer updates.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and suggest safety/reliability improvements.
• Document work performed on each vehicle in the repair order.
• Maintain a toolbox and tools not normally inventoried by service.
• Stay current with factory bulletins and participate in training classes.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
