Job summary

AutoNation Cadillac Port Richey is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to perform repair and maintenance tasks per repair orders, ensuring adherence to dealer and factory standards. You will collaborate with Parts and Service Advisors, diagnose issues, and perform authorized repairs while documenting all work for each vehicle.

The role requires ongoing training and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Valid in-state driver's license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair order, to factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs if authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and make safety recommendations.
• Document all work on the repair order.
• Maintain inventory of tools not normally inventoried by the Service department.
• Stay current with factory bulletins and training.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.

What We're Looking For:

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards, to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with the Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair, if authorized by the Customer.
• Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
• Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician’s tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as "special tools."
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
