Job summary

AutoNation Cadillac Port Richey is seeking a Service Technician to perform vehicle repairs and maintenance per dealer and factory standards, while building customer loyalty through trust and reliability.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, multi-point inspections, and regular communication with Parts and Service Advisors, ensuring high-quality service and safety for every vehicle.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repairs and/or maintenance as outlined on the repair order, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and make recommendations to ensure safety and reliability.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain inventory of normal technician tools and special tools.
• Stay current with factory bulletins and training classes.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards, to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with the Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair, if authorized by the Customer.
• Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
• Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician’s tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as “special tools.”
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty

What are the requirements for this job?

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician
• Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs)
• Attention to detail
• Organization and follow-up skills
• Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
