Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. in Surprise, AZ is seeking an experienced Production Equipment Operator, Hyster Forklift, to load, move and stage steel products, reading work orders and meeting customer requirements. This is an hourly, non-exempt role with overtime potential and a direct tie to our warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret work orders to determine material or equipment needs.
• Meet or exceed minimum productivity levels.
• Plan and organize work activities independently or in a team.
• Develop knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.
• Maintain inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
• Demonstrate basic math skills.
• Strong customer relations skills may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe methods of work at all times and report unsafe conditions.
• Move steel to/from storage, production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles using forklift or other equipment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet and work in varying weather conditions.
• Apply proper bundling techniques and configure loads for planned routes.
• Maintain and safely operate tools and equipment including forklift and overhead crane.
• Report safety issues pertaining to equipment promptly.
• Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
