Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. seeks a Production Equipment Operator to read and execute work orders, move steel safely, and meet customer requirements. This non-exempt position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager and requires adherence to Safe Methods of Work. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret work orders to determine material and equipment needs.
• Meet or exceed productivity targets while maintaining safety.
• Plan and organize tasks independently or in a team setting.
• Develop knowledge of product and inventory control procedures.
• Maintain cross-department communication on routing, safety, and customer relations.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe methods of work and report unsafe conditions.
• Move steel using manual handling, forklift, overhead crane, or related equipment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet; climb stairs and work with equipment while wearing PPE.
• Apply proper bundling techniques.
• Configure loads for planned routes with multiple stops.
• Maximize load capacity on trailers safely.
• Maintain and operate tools and PPE listed.
• Identify safety issues and report promptly.
• Work indoors/outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Attend required company meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
