Job summary

Austal USA in Mobile, AL seeks an experienced scaffolding professional to oversee erection, dismantling and modification of scaffolding according to OSHA and manufacturer specifications. You will assess labor and material resources, plan erection methods and ensure safety for the team and users, across shipyard sites.

The role requires attention to detail, strong math skills for measurements, the ability to work in all weather, and multi-site travel to Austal USA locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years scaffolding experience at a comparable employer* required.
• 1-3 years scaffolding experience at a comparable employer* required.
• TA 0-1 year scaffolding experience at a comparable employer* required.

Responsibilities

• Erect, dismantle, modify and stage scaffolding per Austal and OSHA guidelines.
• Plan labor and material resources for scaffolding jobs and methods of erection.
• Inspect and maintain scaffolding before use, daily during erection, and after alterations.
• Ensure work area is prepared and safe for scaffolding operations and remove debris.
