Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc., part of CRH’s South Central Division, is a leading supplier of quality asphalt and Construction Services in the southeastern U.S., with operations in Alabama. This highly skilled position requires operating heavy road construction equipment on projects with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Applicants must have at least three years of experience operating equipment such as motorgrader, bulldozer, excavator, or front end loader. Road construction project experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have at least three years of experience operating heavy road construction equipment.
• Experience with equipment such as motorgrader, bulldozer, excavator, or front end loader preferred.
• Solid understanding of paving industry aspects including grades, drainage, and compaction.

Responsibilities

• Must have prior experience operating heavy road construction equipment.
• May oil, grease, service and perform normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Understand paving industry details from preparatory work to final asphalt paving specifications.
• Ensure equipment is in good working condition and refer major problems to supervision.
• May perform related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, and adjusting screed extensions.
