Job summary

Schaals Plumbing, Heating & Cooling and Green’s Appliance, Heating & Cooling, as part of TurnPoint Services, seek an Electrical Technician to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems for residential and commercial clients.

You will diagnose circuits, install EV chargers, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure adherence to NEC/NFPA standards while delivering clear customer communication and collaboration with teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years electrical service, maintenance, or installation experience.
• State Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred; valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, wiring methods, panels, load calculations, grounding/bonding, and low-voltage systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA 70E standards; PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Professional communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, panels, switches, outlets, lighting, and other electrical components.
• Installations: perform new circuit installations, lighting upgrades, panel replacements, EV chargers, and other system enhancements.
• Preventive Maintenance: conduct routine inspections, load testing, and maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure code compliance.
• Safety & Code Compliance: follow NEC, NFPA, and company safety standards; ensure all work passes inspections and meets local codes.
• Documentation: complete service tickets accurately, including materials used, time, and detailed notes on work performed.
• Customer Service: communicate clearly with customers, explain repair options, and provide recommendations to improve system performance or safety.
• Team Collaboration: coordinate with supervisors, dispatchers, and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Equipment Care: maintain company tools, testing equipment, and service vehicle in clean and working order.
