Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter to support fabrication, installation, testing, and maintenance of piping systems. You will work from blueprints and project specs to build reliable systems for water, chemicals, and fuel with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.

You will operate in a hands-on trades environment with shop fabrication and field support, including fit-up, welding, testing, and coordination with other trades to keep projects moving efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of journeyman pipefitting experience.
• Experience reading drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ability to measure, cut, thread, fit, weld, and install piping.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate piping systems for water, chemical, fuel, and hydronic uses.
• Read drawings and determine layout from specs.
• Measure, cut, thread, fit, weld, and tack piping.
• Install supports, valves, piping, and related components.
• Test systems for leaks.
• Maintain and flush pipe units and replace worn parts.
• Coordinate with other trades to stay on schedule.
• Provide guidance and training as needed.
