Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled pipefitter/maintenance mechanic to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on critical piping systems in our manufacturing facility.

You will read schematics and blueprints, cut and weld pipes, and diagnose issues with pumps and valves to keep plant operations running smoothly. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, Journeyman certification, and a strong commitment to safety, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training in pipefitting, Journeyman Certification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as pipefitter or industrial maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read complex drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs.
• Proficiency with measuring tools, pipe wrenches, hand and powered tools.
• Knowledge of safety practices and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on piping systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, and water).
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to execute piping installations and repairs.
• Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes with steel, copper, and PVC.
• Inspect and test piping systems for leaks, pressure, and proper functionality.
• Troubleshoot pumps, valves, and related mechanical equipment.
• Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and material usage.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with maintenance team members and production personnel to minimize downtime.
