Job summary

Jabil is seeking a wave soldering operator to set up and operate automatic wave solder equipment for printed circuit boards. You will manage foam fluxer, monitor resin ratios, and replenish solder and flux as needed, while maintaining clean, organized work areas.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety rules, daily maintenance, and quality checks on soldered boards. A high school diploma and prior related experience are preferred, with competitive hourly compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; and one year related experience and/or training.
• Role requires operating wave solder machinery and maintaining related equipment.
• Follow safety and health rules and security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain foam fluxer; monitor specific gravity and resin ratio.
• Add/fill bar solder, flux and alcohol to machine as required.
• Clean and adjust the flux density controller and fluxer.
• Monitor boards for soldering defects.
• Check components for seating and soldering quality.
• Dross the solder pot and perform daily maintenance.
• Drain the flux and clean the machine weekly.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals and solder usage.
• Ensure the assigned area is clean and organized.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and procedures.
