Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma and basic knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Transcribes physician orders to appropriate cards and inputs into the computer.
• Prepares and prints monthly orders, rands, treatment sheets, and ADL sheets.
• Answers telephone calls at nurse’s station and relays messages.
• Maintains nursing station and patient charts; coordinates with families and other departments.
• Assists with discharge instructions and ensures proper chart organization.
