Job summary

Olympus Convalescent Hospital in downtown Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant (Skilled Nursing). The role covers painting, minor electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance to keep the facility safe and functional.

You will also handle cleaning, basic admin tasks, and respond to maintenance emergencies, working Fri–Sun, 8am–5pm. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in skilled nursing and a HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in skilled nursing.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems is a plus.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods; lift or move heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance duties (painting, minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC maintenance).
• Clean interior and exterior of building, machinery, and equipment.
• Complete administrative duties and report maintenance statuses.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and safety regulations.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate with vendors.
