Job summary

Kruse Way Post Acute is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for evening shifts (2PM–10PM) Friday through Monday at our Lake Oswego, OR facility. The role focuses on assisting residents with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a 24-hour skilled nursing environment.

Qualified applicants will have an Oregon CNA certification, high school diploma or equivalent, and CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Assist residents with eating and monitoring food intake.
• Assist with range of motion and mobility in wheelchair or activity areas.
• Turn and reposition residents; support ambulation as needed.
• Take and record vital signs and fluid intake/output as directed.
• Document ADLs and resident cares on flow sheets or task sheets.

Status: Full-Time

Shifts: Evening 2PM - 10PM Friday - Monday

Pay: $22.49 - $30.11/hour based on experience

Shift Differentials and Incentives: $1/hour additional on evening shift, $1.50/hour on noc shift, and $7.50/hour on picked up extra shifts.

Under supervision, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily living activities.

Essential Functions

• Answers nurse call system to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with eating.
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises, and movement to/from wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed.
• Assists resident with ambulation as indicated in the facility.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
• Documents ADLs, resident personal cares, and device use on flow sheets or task sheets as directed.
• Attends interdisciplinary meetings as needed to provide input into selected resident’s plans of care.
• Documents restorative services provided following facility policies and procedures.
• Assists facility staff to provide person-centered cares based on indicated preferences.
• Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.

• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

This position is represented by SEIU Local 503 and is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Licenses/Certification

• Valid certification as a CNA in Oregon.
• Valid CPR certificate preferred.

Experience

• Six months experience in a long term-care environment preferred.
• Point Click Care experience preferred.
