Bay 9 Holdings LLC dba Edgemere in Dallas, TX seeks a Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) to provide medications under a care plan, ensuring resident safety and comfort.

The CMA will record treatments, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate documentation while supporting daily living activities and reporting to nursing staff. This is a full-time role with Baylor Plan benefits and weekend doubles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year working with the geriatric population.
• First Aid and CPR Certification and Certified Nursing Aide licensure required by state regulations.
• Have and maintain medication aide licensure per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up medication for residents and provide medication under supervision, per physician orders.
• Record and document all medication, treatment, and care provided.
• Take and record vital signs of residents.
• Prepare monthly summaries and chart for new residents.
• Respond to resident calls and requests.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Give and receive shift-change reports and count narcotics.
• May help residents prepare for and participate in exercise.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies; maintain attendance.

POSITION: CERTIFIED MEDICATION ASSISTANT (CMA)

FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT/PRN/PER DIEM

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) to join our team at Bay 9 Holdings LLC dba Edgemere located in Dallas, Texas. The Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) is responsible for residents as directed by a care plan or agreement. This position has the responsibility of providing residents with their medications according to physician orders.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a Full-time/Baylor Plan, weekend doubles (6am-10pm), hourly position with a salary of $19.00+ per hour. In addition, Bay 9 Holdings LLC dba Edgemere offers competitive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits, generous PTO and holiday vacation time, and 401K.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Set- up medication for residents and provide medication, under the direction and monitoring of a licensed nurse, and according to physician orders. May order/reorder medications.
• Record and document all medication, treatment and care provided for residents.
• Take and record vital signs of residents.

• Respond to resident calls and requests.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Give and receive report at shift change, counts narcotics at that time.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS

The physical responsibilities of this position constantly require effective bending, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. This position often involves medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned or make observations of residents and environment; close visual acuity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, operating medical equipment, reading a computer screen, reading printed material, inspection of small defects, and using measurement devices. The functions of this position are conducted in a temperature-controlled environment and not substantially exposed to adverse environment conditions and may be routinely exposed to working hazards, communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, cleaning chemicals, and odors.
