Business Office Manager (BOM) Job Responsibilities :
- Verifies benefits on all new admissions and monthly thereafter.
- Reviews and corrects PCC Dashboard errors daily.
- Collects all private pay, patient liability, and private co-insurance outstanding balances.
- Processes Form 3619 for all Medicaid or Medicaid pending residents reaching the twenty-first day of their Medicare stay, including discharges or readmissions from hospital after day twenty-one back to long-term care.
- Prepares Daily Census.
- Processes Mail and Correspondence.
- Resolves issues on the Unbillable report.
- Processes and documents Trust Account Deposits / Withdrawals.
- Processes Form 3618 for all Medicaid or Medicaid pending Admissions, Readmits, Transfers (TO, TI), Discharges, and discharges to hospice or admissions from hospice.
- Processes Resident, Dental, and Wheelchair Refunds.
- Processes Resident Refunds.
- Performs Quality Checks of all new admissions.
- Processes Liability Changes for MCD Residents in PCC.
- Responds to Corporate requests via phone or e-mail.
- Coordinates Weekly Accounts Receivable (AR) Meetings with the Administrator.
- Submits Weekly Medicaid Pending Updates to the VP of Revenue Cycle.
- Attends Weekly BOM Teams calls.
- Sends Private Pay and Patient Liability statements by the 25th of each month.
- Completes Medicaid Occupancy Report on the first business day of the month.
- Enters Ancillary Charges into PCC (lab, radiology, prescriptions, supplies).
