Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Skilled Mechanical Assembler for the first shift in Kansas City, MO. You will perform full-cycle assembly and testing of stainless steel lab equipment, using hand and power tools, and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics to build mechanical and electrical assemblies.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent assembly experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly of equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to troubleshoot with some guidance.
• Consistent work history with long tenure.
• Comfort using hand/power tools and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble stainless steel lab equipment from start to finish, including full-cycle assembly and testing.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools for assembly tasks.
• Read and follow drawings, blueprints, wiring schematics, and BOMs.
• Apply mechanical and electrical knowledge to meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair assembly issues with some guidance.
• Select appropriate tools and materials for non-repetitive operations.
