The Save Mart Companies in California's Central Valley is seeking a Journeyman Meat Cutter to join its meat department. This role handles meat cutting, weighing, pricing, wrapping, and merchandising, while assisting customers with special requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior Meat Department experience including meat cutting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Available to work varied retail hours and operate department equipment.

Responsibilities

• Locate meat portions in the walk-in and move to cutting room.
• Cut, trim, and portion meat using knives and band saw.
• Price and label meat products.
• Package and display products, rotate stock and remove damaged items.
• Maintain clean and sanitized work areas and equipment.
• Operate material handling equipment to move pallets.
• Assist and supervise Apprentice Meat Cutters when needed.
