Job summary

The Save Mart Companies in Angels Camp, CA is seeking a Journeyman Meat Cutter to meet daily production needs and ensure quality in meat cutting and preparation. This role handles receiving, stocking, cutting, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising meat department products, while assisting with deli items and frozen foods.

You will cut and trim meat to order, use hand tools and power equipment, maintain inventory, and support customer requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) or equivalent experience.
• Prior meat department experience required.
• Ability to operate meat department equipment.
• Strong attention to safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Locate meat portions in walk-in freezer and move to cutting area.
• Cuts meat using knives or band saw as required.
• Price and label meat products for display.
• Arrange packages on display and remove damaged items.
• Maintain clean and sanitized work areas and equipment.
