Job summary

Empire Livestock LLC in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep production facilities and equipment running smoothly. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, perform preventive maintenance, and implement repairs or upgrades for safety and efficiency.

The role requires 2–3 years of maintenance experience, OSHA awareness, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A union benefits package and evening shifts are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• HVAC and refrigeration certifications or experience desirable.
• 2–3 years in facility and production maintenance.
• Experience with boilers, chillers, refrigeration systems desired.
• Experience with conveyor systems; knowledge of case erecting and folding systems.
• OSHA safety knowledge; LO TO; lockout tagout and arc flash desired.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; work in confined spaces.
• Effective communication; ability to follow instructions.
• Own basic hand tools and proficiency with power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Familiarity with CMMS; MVP is a plus.
• Attention to detail; prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Repair and modify equipment for safety and performance.
• Maintain compliance with GMPs, SOPs, OSHA safety.
• Document maintenance activities and inspections.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams.
• Pursue continuous training on new technologies.
