Job summary

Village Green is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair building systems across units. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, plus customer service and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, emergency repairs, pool/spa checks, and adherence to safety and inventory practices; on-call availability and weekend work may be required. Hotel or multifamily housing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Excellent customer service skills and general computer knowledge.
• The ability to communicate effectively with residents, supervisors, other staff and vendors.
• Experience in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, drywall repairs, carpentry, and pool/spa maintenance.
• Experience in the hotel industry or multifamily housing preferred.
• Plumbing, contracting, and builders' certifications and licenses are a plus.
• We appreciate availability for on-call purposes and the flexibility and ability to work weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and cares for equipment as may be necessary for its continuous operation
• Completes emergency repairs as may be required to prevent damage or deterioration
• Documents replacement of appliances, carpet, vinyl, water heaters, condensers, etc., in all units
• Tracks systems repairs, apartment painting (full paint or touch-up), refrigerator coil cleaning, and carbon monoxide checks, and other major repairs
• Maintains an adequate inventory supply level while ensuring service shop is clean and organized
• Performs daily pool/spa inspections (in season) to ensure proper water chemistry and cleanliness of pool/spa area, and to ascertain needed repairs or improvements
• Keeps premises supplied with cold and hot water at all times. Keeps premises heated and cooled as the seasons or local ordinance may require
• Performs routine maintenance and repair on central and/or individual air conditioning units as authorized or directed by Supervisor
• Notes building deficiencies or needs to Supervisor in writing
• Assists Service Tech 1, Tech 2, Tech 4, and/or Groundskeeper in the maintenance/cleanliness of the common areas
