Job summary

Harris Hill Nursing Facility, part of The McGuire Group, seeks a Skilled Maintenance Assistant to maintain a safe, clean environment for residents and staff in Williamsville, NY. Duties include preventative maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections across electrical, mechanical, and building systems.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, with 1 year in maintenance (2 years in residential buildings preferred), a NYS driver's license, and the ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Experience: 1 year in maintenance; 2 years in residential building preferred.
• Valid NYS Driver's License.
• Knowledge of residential or light commercial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
• Complete building repairs: painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical work, ceilings, windows.
• Perform floor and carpet care with proper equipment.
• Conduct generator testing, fire drills, inspections, and safety checks.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders promptly.
