Job summary

AWI Management Corp. in Oakhurst, CA, is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to help maintain a 50-unit apartment community.

This full-time role focuses on keeping the property safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents and visitors. Ideal candidates bring experience with general building maintenance, painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and landscaping, plus familiarity with HUD/LIHTC/RD programs is a plus.

Qualifications

Experience with general building maintenance and landscaping is preferred.
Experience with subsidized housing programs (HUD, LIHTC, or RD) is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Completing maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
Performing general maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
Assisting with preventative maintenance to ensure building systems remain in good working condition.
Maintaining the grounds and landscaping to support strong curb appeal.
Assisting with annual apartment inspections and identifying maintenance needs.
Working with the Property Manager to coordinate vendors and order supplies.
Maintaining positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
Reporting lease or house rule violations when observed.
Responding appropriately to emergency maintenance situations.
Following company policies and procedures.
