Position Title: Maintenance Technician Wage: $34.00-$45.00/hour Based on experience Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts Hours: 6:30pm-6:30am We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians with a strong background maintaining and troubleshooting plastic injection molding equipment, high-speed robotics, and automated manufacturing systems. These positions require skilled maintenance candidates who can independently diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and respond quickly to production equipment breakdowns. This is a direct hire opportunity in Mequon, WI.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plastic injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair high-speed robotics and automated production equipment
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems using schematics
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs using electrical schematics and diagrams
- Diagnose electrical and electronic malfunctions, including troubleshooting microprocessors and automated controls
- Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment
- Maintain and repair lifts, hoists, material-handling equipment, and other plant equipment
- Support plant systems, including plumbing, HVAC, ventilation, exhaust systems, and compressors
- Read and work from prints, plans, sketches, schematics, and equipment layouts
- Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, levels, scales, and dividers
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns with minimal supervision and prioritize repairs to minimize production downtime
- Perform work involving welding, electronics, machine shop equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, and electrical maintenance
- Follow all established safety, food safety, quality, and PPE requirements
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education or training is a plus
- Plastic injection molding maintenance experience required
- Minimum 4 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience repairing plastic injection molding machines; Husky and/or Van Dorn experience is highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of robotics and automation requiredStrong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and read electrical schematics
- Industrial electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills are a plus
- Experience with welding, electronics, air compressors, machine shop equipment, hydraulics, and electrical maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, technical procedures, prints, and schematics
- Ability to independently diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally
- Comfortable working around moving machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
