Job summary

The Kinetic Group in Lewiston, Idaho, is looking for a skilled Machinist/Millwright to service and repair production equipment, build or modify machines, and troubleshoot to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Expect a weekend swing shift with a pay range of $40.66–$45.57 per hour. A 4-year apprenticeship as a Journeyman Machinist is required, along with blueprint reading and proficiency with shop tools such as lathe, milling machine, grinder, shaper, borer, and drill press.

Qualifications

• Must have served a 4-year apprenticeship leading to Journey Level Machinist and hold Journey Level papers.
• Must be able to understand English.
• Must supply own hand tools and read basic blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and operate a variety of machine tools to fabricate or repair parts.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and determine repairs or adjustments.
• Work with engineers and production personnel to solve problems.
• Dismantle, inspect, and repair machines and components.
• Install hydraulic or pneumatic components and test for proper operation.
• Lift/move parts weighing 50 lbs+ and work primarily on the production floor.
