Job summary

Remington Arms in Lewiston, Idaho, seeks a skilled Machinist/Millwright to repair and maintain production equipment. You will work with machinists and production teams to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes precision, close tolerances, and productive collaboration on the shop floor. Responsibilities include setting up tools, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs or fabrications using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and related tooling.

Qualifications

• Must have served a 4-year apprenticeship leading to Journey Level Machinist and hold Journey Level papers.
• Consideration of a 2-year apprenticeship if candidate completed an accredited program with GPA 3.0+ within 1.5 years prior to applying.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, maintains, and operates a variety of machine tools to fabricate or repair machines and components.
• Observes machinery to diagnose malfunctions and determines need for adjustment or repair.
• Confer with engineers or production personnel to resolve machinery problems when necessary.
• Dismantles machine to inspect parts and replaces defective components.
• Welds, brazes, or solders parts as needed and tests repaired equipment on production floor.
