Job summary

Oakland Schools is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Engineer for the Birmingham Public Schools district. This is a 12-month, full-time position for the second shift from 2pm to 10:30pm.

The role reports to the Manager of Operations and Maintenance Supervisor of Skilled Trades and involves maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across district facilities. This opportunity requires hands-on technical skills to keep boilers, HVAC equipment and building

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of boilers, air handlers, univents, exhaust fans, chillers, DDC systems and related components.
• Maintenance of plumbing, door hardware, electrical systems and other building components.
• Support building operations in a Birmingham Public Schools district setting; 2pm–10:30pm shift.

Birmingham Public Schools is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Engineer for the district. This is a 12-month, full-time position for the second shift from 2pm to 10:30pm.

The Skilled Maintenance Building Engineer reports directly to the Manager of Operations and/or the Maintenance Supervisor of Skilled Trades, and is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing of mechanical devices including but not limited to: boilers, air handlers, univents, exhaust fans, chillers, DDC systems and all associated components along with plumbing systems, door hardware, electrical systems and any other building components.
