Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• Class B CDL with air brake endorsement required or within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform machinist duties using CAD/CAM; read drawings, set up lathes, milling machines, CNC equipment; calculate dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform welding and fabrication; repair equipment and fabricate parts.
• Maintain and repair Department buildings, equipment, and vehicles; ensure equipment is safe to operate.
• Operate department inventory equipment and maintain records and logs.
• Coordinate with engineering and city personnel; ensure compliance with safety and city policies.
