Job summary

Astec is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to run saws, press brakes, and related equipment in our Eugene, Oregon facility. You will set up, monitor, and adjust machines, ensure parts meet specifications, and document daily activity while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, bench/blueprint reading skills, and 2+ years in heavy manufacturing. Training is provided to learn our processes and safety protocols in a fast-paced shop

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Trade school or college coursework desired.
• Blueprint reading skills desired.
• 2+ years of heavy equipment manufacturing experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to locate/open files.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a production machine in accordance with Astec’s guidelines.
• Control and adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately.
• Perform pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation.
• Accurately perform task based on blueprints provided.
• Maintain a detailed activity log of daily duties.
